Before your visit

We will send you an email. It tells you the day and time of your visit.

You do not need to prepare anything. Just come as you are.

Getting here

The entrance to Ivy Psychology. There is a green sign above the door.

Our clinic is in Randwick. The door is at 201 Alison Road, next to Ray White.

Our rooms are up two flights of stairs. There is no lift.

If stairs are hard for you, we can see you on a video call instead. Just tell us.

When you arrive

The reception area at Ivy Psychology. There is a desk and chairs to sit on.

A friendly person at the desk will say hello.

You can have water, tea, or coffee while you wait.

You can arrive right at your appointment time. You do not need to come early.

The first session

Your psychologist will ask what has brought you in. Mostly, they will listen.

It is okay to feel nervous. It is okay to cry. It is okay to forget what you wanted to say.

You can bring a family member or friend with you.

The session takes about 50 minutes.

It is okay to say no

You do not have to talk about anything you are not ready for.

If your psychologist does not feel like the right fit, tell us. We can find someone else for you.
