Psychological Assessment
Ivy Psychology provides comprehensive psychological assessment for children, adolescents, and adults. Our assessment services include ADHD assessment, Autism assessment, cognitive (intellectual) assessment, and educational assessment for specific learning disorders such as dyslexia and dyscalculia.
What we assess for
- ADHD assessment - adults and children. We work to the DSM-5 criteria, using standardised clinical interview, behavioural rating scales (parent, teacher, self-report where relevant), developmental history, and collateral information. Children are typically assessed after they have started school.
- Autism assessment - adults and children. Includes structured interview, developmental history, and where appropriate, the ADOS-2 or equivalent. Neurodiversity-affirming approach throughout.
- Cognitive and intellectual assessment - WISC-V (children 6-16), WAIS-IV (adults), or developmental scales for younger children. Used for educational planning, NDIS access requests, and clarifying cognitive strengths and weaknesses.
- Educational assessment for Specific Learning Disorder - WIAT-III academic achievement testing alongside cognitive testing. Used to identify dyslexia, dysgraphia, and dyscalculia, and to generate recommendations for school adjustments and special exam arrangements.
What you receive
A detailed written report with clinical findings, formal diagnoses (where appropriate), and specific recommendations for school, work, NDIS, and home. We also offer a feedback session and follow-up school consultations.

Assessments are not generally Medicare-rebated, though NDIS funding may apply for eligible participants. End-to-end timeframes are usually four to eight weeks from first appointment to report. See our fees page for current rates, or contact us for a quote.
